Copyright Clearance
Dear Krept and Konan,
For our A2 project we have been developing an advanced portfolio
in media which involves our practical production which is 50% of our final A2
grade. We will be producing a promotional package and for the release of a new
album. With this we will also be including a promo video.
Within this advanced portfolio we as a group we had to
choose British artists and a song to recreate for part of our Portfolio. As a
group we decided to pick one of your own singles off the album ‘Young Kings’ single
( Krept & Konan ft Ari -The Other Side) as we thought you suit our target
audience and also the single has great meaning, significance and emotion conveyed.
These are some of the reasons why we choose this single to create a video.
Therefore we are
asking informed consent for copyright clearance for the song as we would like
to use it as part of our advanced portfolio.

Through the lessons in June we learned a bit about music videos. We also analysed the previous A2's music videos comparing the top graded music videos to the less quality music videos.
Furthermore we also watched Iconic music videos which have had both high budgets and low budgets. For example we watched the extraordinary longest official music video (13min) Michael Jackson 'Thriller'. The $500,000 budget music video was awarded the greatest music video of all times.
We also watched a music video called Pharell - Happy which was made and published last year. This music video was the first 24hour music video.
In Contrast we watched a music video from an unsigned artist who had a low budget video and less technology behind the camera and compared it to Michael Jackson Thriller and other mainstream video's to identify the similarities and differences.
