Reshooting Pt2

On Monday the 11th of November group 4 went out to reshoot Emmanuel aka 'Brix' scene at Yuksils house.  We went to reshoot the scene due bad lighting. Although we wanted our shots to have a low key lighting effect, this did not go according to plan. This is some of the footage of what we shot on the 24th of October. Therefore we shot it again with a Dedo light. Overall we were pleased with the outcome having the white light instead of the orange desk light.

As you can see here are two similar shots taken from our footage. The first Shot is a close- up of me 'Brix' in action. In the second shot is a medium close up of me again. Apart from the different costume, there is a major difference between the two shots. The first one was the re-shoot and the second one is the original shot we initially had before the reshot.

As you can see the lighting is much more effective and the shots are less grainy. In the reshoot there are still shadows which we could not avoid. However there are less shadows in the reshoot which we got rid of by using the dedo light. In conclusion the group is satisfied with the reshoot and are happy with the lack of shadow.

Blogging Health Check

In media, I have received my blogging heath check. This gave me the feedback both positive and negative feedback on my current blogs up to the 24th of October.

Overall I was personally very unhappy with my blogging health check grade as I aspire to get an A grade in media. Although this was not a shock to me due to the fact that I personally feel that I haven't been pulling my weight e.g. missing blogs , lack of detail etc.

Hopefully When the next blogging health check comes on the 24th November my blogging health check grade can be pushed up substantially.

Overall I believe that I am Below target :(

There are thing which can do in order to put my self on track :

• More depth and detail included into blogs
• Timing! make sure your blogs are up to date and in the right order 
• Overall blog rate; Aim to blog frequently once every day or two

Second verse

Reshooting the second verse

As you can see on the left, we reshot the second verse, this time we used deco lights which didn't give us the yellow effect and we were more happy with the lighting this time round. The shots itself are even more clear and more effective.

We also decided to do a lot more close-ups as we were told that we didn't have enough of them in our video. The shot on the left is from our new footage and the shot on the right is from the old.

We decided to reshoot the second verse because we didn't like the lighting.

As you can see from these screenshots of the footage that we recorded the lighting is very yellow and doesn't look natural. This scene was shot inside a house and we had to use a desk lamp to add some light, but the effect that it gave is not what we were looking for so we decided to reshoot this scene.
