Research - Synergy

SYNERGY
Many videos use the same features over their album covers, teaser trailers and music videos.
I found out that out of 'Daft Punk', 'Mystery Jets', 'Disclosure' and 'Wretch 32', the most features used in all products are done by Daft Punk.

Daft Punk
Daft Punk are recognised by their futuristic theme and helmets and their dark colour scheme. They use these features across all four of their products which is an album cover, teaser trailer, MTV version single and original single.

Wretch 32
Wretch 32 on the other hand doesn't seem to have any features that carry out through all his products. He is facing away in his album cover and he is facing away in his music video as well and doesn't really make eye contact with the camera. This is the only feature that has been used. His album cover and magazine advert are both in black and white but his music video isn't. Also, he is wearing casual clothes in all his images, but switches it up to wearing smart formal clothes in the music video.















Mystery Jets
The album cover for Mystery Jets is made out of a shape from the states I believe. They seem to be on a ranch in the countryside somewhere in the album cover and this is made clearer with what they are wearing. They are wearing shirts and jackets that country boys would normally wear. They have a guitar in the cover as well and this is the prop that is used to start off the video.

They wear similar clothes in the video and they seem to be in a desert somewhere. This can only be found in the countryside. They use natural colour and lighting through all of their products.


Disclosure
Disclosure use a worn out old photo with two boys and animation going on around the face for their album cover 'Settle'. The two little boys have casual clothes on.
In the video, there are vibrant changing colours consistently and the performance is by two men. We see the animation kick in the video too and the men have casual clothing.
